Master of Orion II - planet destroying weapon
My very first gig in the game industry involved making cinematics for Master of Orion II. This render is from a cinematic that played whenever you used the awesome planet destroying weapon. While working on the game, I couldn't really tell if it was actually going to be a fun game. I played the game when it shipped, and was thrilled to find out that it was actually Super Fun. Of all the games I've worked on, I played this one the most. A classic!
And a render from the "Game Lost" cinematic... Your cities are destroyed, and your enemies thrill at hearing the lamentations of your women.
